The SUN Business Network Gambia Chapter (SBNGambia) on Tuesday 9th August commenced a three-day re-convergence on nutrition commitment and Terms of Reference (TOR) development as well as businesses’ involvement in the first 1000 days of life. The three day long activity, marked by a cooking workshop on the third day was facilitated by the National Nutrition Agency (NaNA) and The Food Technology Services (Department of Agriculture) with support from WFP.The products developed included 2 different cereal/legume blends ( millet +cowpea, maize+ groundnuts) and a local micronutrient mix powder (moringa +baobab+ sesame seeds) for enriching complementary foods, desserts and other meals. This is all geared towards uniting businesses to invest in nutrition especially in the first 1000 days .
