Today 27th January 2020 marks another landmark in the history of Nutrition in The Gambia as we witness at the Kairaba Beach Hotel, The Official Launch of the Cost of Hunger in Africa, The Gambia. The occasion was chaired by the Executive Director, NaNA, and was punctuated by speeches from WFP Representatives, UN Resident Coordinator and Governor of West Coast Region. The official launch statement was delivered by Her Excellency Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia. The event was enhanced by musical interludes and poems from the police band, schools and Barhama. The event also included a panel discussion with panelist including the Hon Minister of Health, Finance and Economic Affairs, Health, Women, Children and Social Welfare, African Union Commission/NEPAD Agency and Director of WFP Africa Office.
