The National Nutrition Agency (NaNA) Assesses the Baby-Friendly Hospital Implementation Across the country

We are thrilled to announce that a Baby-Friendly Hospital Assessment is underway. This is a HUGE step after many years of BFHI Program Implementation . The BFHI promotes the ten (10) steps to sucessful breastfeeding which ensures a healthy start for our little ones as it seeks to promote, protect and support breastfeeding. We hope that this exercise will better inform program implementation but most importantly identify a model health facility for breastfeeding. Why is this important? * Baby-Friendly practices lead to lower rates of illness and allergies in babies as it has been seen to improve the practice of Early Initiation and Exclusive breastfeeding for Six month.* Breastfeeding has numerous benefits for mothers too!
